Beverage Insurance Specialty was formed in 2021 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Beverage Insurance Agency and part of ICC Holdings. In 2023, ICC Holdings acquired long time liquor liability wholesale specialist Guild Insurance based in Illinois.

Howard started in the insurance industry in 1979 and has experience on both the agency and company side. For the past 20 years, he has overseen Underwriting for Illinois Casualty Company, a carrier specializing in liquor liability since 1950.
